Aimee Connolly Website Design

Aimee Connolly, of Éxpose on TV3, required a new website and online store. Aimee was launching her new line of make-up products – “Make-up by Aimee” – and wanted a fresh new look online to go with the new range.   The site was built on the Squarespace CMS, and a custom homepage was coded and added to the selected template to give a continuous parallax effect (this was done very simply using CSS and HTML rather than bulky javascript or jQuery plugins). The template was modified in a number of other ways to give it a unique look, while still maintaining the easy to use CMS Squarespace is known for. Logo design was done by Third Mind Design.   Aimee’s shop was included which sells her make-up products, and also allows her regular Masterclass courses to be booked. A blog was also set up, which Aimee was shown how to use.   Overall she was extremely happy with the site, and is particularly fond of the built e-commerce due to it’s ease of use. The site is continually maintained and updated by myself. Visit the Site Here

Travel WiFi Woocommerce Project

Travel WiFi, a WiFi dongle rental Service based in Dublin, required some extensive development to their WordPress based E-Commerce site. I extended the functionality of the Woocommerce module using PHP and Javascript. As the rented devices were often requested to be returned from a different address rather than the one they were shipped to, I added a new address form field which allowed this, as well as options to pick up and return the devices from the company’s offices. An option to add insurance to the devices for an extra price was added to the final checkout page. The new UI was designed to be as intuitive and clear as possible, ensuring a confident experience for customers. The functionality was programmed to dynamically update the shipping prices should different shipping/return addresses wish to be used, as well as combinations of shipping and pick-up/drop-off options. Similarly, a deposit was overridden if the insurance option was checked. Custom Fields were added to the backend linked to each new part of the form to allow the sales team to keep track of customers specific orders. These fields were programmed to automatically be added to the order confirmation page, the administrator emails, and the […]

Ardvarney Country Lodge Website

Ardvarney Country Lodge is a new Bed & Breakfast open in Leitrim, Ireland. The owners were looking for a modern website built on WordPress, which they had used as a blog platform previously. Due to budget restraints and the need for some extra features, such as a dynamic booking system, the site was built off a template. The site had the Checkfront Booking System integrated into it originally, but due to the owners using Booking.com as their primary source of bookings this was removed shortly after launch and a more simple calendar added which they update automatically. Copy was provided for the site by the owners, and rewritten to reflect the feel and character of the B&B. The owners were fully trained in the use of the site to allow them to update it easily, and continue to blog about their new life as they loved to do. Logo design was done with Third Mind Design. Irish Sponsorship Summit Website

This was a redesign of a previous site built for the Irish Sponsorship Summit, including a new branding package. The site was built on Squarespace as the client wanted an easy-to-use platform which they could update themselves. The original template was modified to allow a video hero image on the homepage, and the design of the site modernised compared to that of the old one, which resulted in a completely new and slick new look. The original site had it’s own integrated payment system built with PHP, which unfortunately, as a server side language, was not available to use with Squarespace. This issue was solved using a subdomain to build the ticketing and payment software, which was then integrated seamlessly into the new site using an iFrame. Visit the site here
